Subject: Smackdown needs a tune up

You know you're program is lacking in heel talent when you're promoting Bradshaw as the top bad guy.

Let's face it-Bradshaw's new texas tycoon gimmick is funny, but no one's going to take him seriously as a heel. He's spent too much time in the APA to be an effective bad guy, and would need some serious upgrades before he even reached U.S. Championship status, much less WWE title status.

Now Triple H would have been a perfect heel to feud for the WWE title on Smackdown, but his ego is so big that he'd rather stay the big fish on Raw than work his way back to the top on Smackdown. Oh well, backstage politics suck. At least he helped to give Shelton Benjamin momentum.

Brock Lesnar would have been good, but he decided not to renew his contract so he could try out for the NFL, effectively demonstrating catastrophes that can abound when you push rookies too hard too fast.

If Goldberg, overrated though he is, were to return, and make a heel turn on Smackdown, he would still be a much better heel than Bradshaw.

RVD could also pull it off, but the writers have all but showed us that hell will freeze over before he gets a significant push. Booker T is only slightly better off than he is, although his character direction is improving so far.

The best way to resolve the Bradshaw dilemn would be to bring an up and coming wrestler from Raw to Smackdown to make the talent distribution even again. And the best way to do that would be to bring a member of Evolution, namely, Orton or Batista. Either one of these guys would make a fantastic top heel on Smackdown, since they've already garnered reputations on Raw.
