IF THERE IS GOING TO BE A MERGER OF THE 2 BUS COMPANIES (NYCTA AND MABSTOA) ALOT OF THINGS NEED CHANGING. TITLES NEED TO BE MADE THE SAME, ONE TEST GIVEN OUT, INSTEAD OF HAVING ONE FOR THE TA AND ONE FOR THE OA, MABSTOA SHOULD GAIN CIVIL SERVICE STATUS AND BE EQUAL WITH THE NYCTA EMPLOYEES. HOW CAN THEY TRY TO MAKE ONE COMPANY AND HAVE A DIFFERENT SET OF RULES? DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. WILL AN OA CHASIS MAINTAINER BE ABLE TO PICK INTO A TA DEPOT, OR AN OA BUS OPERATOR? MABSTOA PENSION SHOULD BE INCLUDED INTO THE NYCERS PENSION. IF MABSTOA WILL BECOME NYCTA THEN ALL MABSTOA EMPLOYEES NEED TO BECOME CIVIL SERVICE AND GIVEN NYCTA JOB TITLES. ONE COMPANY ONE SET OF RULES AND PEOPLE WILL BE HAPPY. THIS NEW CONTRACT IS LOUSY IN THAT AREA. EITHER MAKE THEM THE EXACT SAME OR JUST LEAVE MABSTOA THE WAY IT IS.
