Sisera

Original Powers:

+2 Enchantment
Keen Weapon
Mighty Cleaving

Sisera is a greatsword. Created by the mastersmith Tarl Ramburn in 672, it was magicked by the sorceress Gustylyrn for her lover, Harosheth Haggoyim. Harosheth was a huge man, (rumored to be half-orc!) and he used this weapon in the Wars of Kadesham. For 12 years, he and Sisera were inseperable, and with it, he was nigh unstoppable. He toppled the evil king of Kadesham from
power, and used Sisera to officially execute the king. A year later, Harosheth was killed in the Battle of Jotham. The sword was taken by Abijah the Gruesome.

Abijah used Sisera for several of his bloody campaigns against the king of Ahaz. Gustylyrn put out a reward for the return of Sisera, but Abijah managed to destroy all potential collectors. He took the weapon into the legendary Dark Lands.

He returned from those unfrequented realms with the head of a dragon, which he had killed with the sword. The blood of the dragon forever stained the sword with an aura of Frightful Presence. Abijah became involved in a land war with the King of Ahaz again and was assassinated. Sisera passed into oblivion in the ruins of Abijah's castle, unrecognized for a century.

Saraiah, running from the minions of the necromancer Hacaliah, took refuge in the Castle of Abijah the Gruesome and found the sword Sisera. With it in hand, he stopped running from the hell hounds of Hacaliah. He slew the beasts and gathered an army to battle the foul fiend.

With Sisera at his side, Saraiah defeated Hacaliah and freed the people of Imaaz at the Battle of Imaaz River. The people wanted Saraiah to be their king, but the ranger wanted none of that. He ordained a leader and went on his merry way.

Saraiah and his frightful greatsword carved out quite the reputation as he battled giants and evil from land to land. He was one of the three founders of the modern kingdom of Treóir. His battles against the pirates on the high seas indirectly caused the formation of the Bloodhawk Brotherhood!

The Brotherhood finally sank his ships and took Saraiah captive. He was tortured and killed. The greatsword fell to the pirate captain Ahthophel, who mounted the sword in his cabin (for a greatsword is much too big for a pirate to use, two-handed weapon that it is).

When Ahthophel was finally arrested and hanged in Treóir, Sisera passed into the hands of the Oromoeshan people (who wanted the right to execute the bloody pirate, but was willing to accept the fearsome sword that eventually became the pirate's symbol of fear).

The queen of Oromoeshan gave Sisera to Gnaamon the Bold for outstanding duty to her kingdom. Gnaamon accepted the frightening weapon, but did not have the courage to actually wield it. Everytime he picked it up, he lost morale from the powerful aura it had. He eventually sold the weapon to Mijamin Ginnethon.

A powerful, willful man, Mijamim and Sisera cleared a bloody swath through the kingdoms of Azariah, Jerekiah, and Meremoth. He soon raised his own army and conquered those three nations, creating the shortlived Ginnethon Empire.

Mijamim was killed in the War of Omalluch and the sword has not been seen since.
