I lived in Springburn all of my young life during the thirties, and forties, and at that time I never thought about whether it was a good place to live or anything else, but the longer I live the more I realise, that to me it was a unusual place, the remarkable streets, and the hum of life going on,which was completely different from todays ways, and the young people living there, could fill happy days with hundreds of ways, that very few today would be interested in.I keep going back to these memories, that I have of those years, and it gives me a unique pleasure that can only be explained by the people who survived Springburn in the good old bad days.
