Subject: Sterling Mining

Sunshine Mining Company signed a consent decree with the EPA, State of Idaho and the Coeur d'Alene Tribe in January 2001 covering past environmental liabilities.

Sunshine for decades never reported resources/mineralized material as they followed the general practice of the mining district here of targeting 5 years reserves.In the mid-1990's they began reporting mineralized material. The reputable firm of Behre Dolberger did an indpendent assessment/due diligence of the resources and reserves
in December 1999, the mine stopped producing in the first quarter of 2001.The Sunshine staff did annual reserve/resource estimatech each year and appear to be very professionally done and meeting SEC standards.

We have a corporate policy of not writing on chat boards etc etc, so I do not particularly wish to be quoted.We have had the property less than 60 days so we have onvviously not hand a chance yet to independetly verify their numbers, although our work to date shows no reason to doubt these estimates whatsoever.
