Subject: leverage with silverstox

to Steve Sjuggerud-- your recent recognition of the gold sector has prompted me to tell you my story....until 2001
I was an investment sinner of the worst kind...let me digress....I made a small fortune in the gold bull market of 1979-1982...a lucky stroke to say the least...my Merrill Lynch broker noted that I wasn't doing so well in my ML account & one day said something like....I can't really recommend what you should do, but I have a few clients who have been doing well with South African gold mining stocks....& that was the beginning of my gold lust...in those days there was little alternative to S.A. for goldstox, since around 75% of the worlds gold was mined there....of course today all that has changed, but I'm getting ahead of myself....to make a long, sickening story short, I lost all but about $14,000 between 1982 & 2001
on various poor real estate, commodity & other investments....the last bad experience being mutual funds, which I was having "managed" for me....when the bubble burst in 2000-2001 I was left with little, but never one to quit [I still had my home, although it was mortgaged to the hilt], I figured I couldn't do much worse than the MF guys, so I opened an online account....for the first time I really worked at learning what the best sectors were to invest in...by the summer of 2001 I came back full circle to gold & silver [after dabbling with sporadic succes in others sectors]....buying 550 shares of DROOY @.85 ....
that was the beginning....after a threatened shutdown crisis at Durban was averted, the shares soared....I liked the taste of success...it remended me of 1980 again....
I bought more DROOY & started adding others miners....HL,
SSRI, CDE, HMY [it was HGMCY]....everything seemed to hit at the right time.....I moved my portfolio almost exclusively into goldstox, except for some funds I kept in FAX, which I discovered when it was near its low, under $4.00....
move fast forward to the present....I have increased my original stake to around $54,000 at this writing, & I think we are barely getting started to see the profits which are possible in the coming months & years....this is definitely a long-term bull market, as has been noted by many whom I read....end part I.....siempre
