Subject: anticipating the start of school

Hey Dad!

Yeah - that Microbrite looks pretty cool. I should get something for my teeth... Well, speaking of herbs and supplements, I just saw a woman speak today about herbs -- specifically, what they look like (she brought some fresh ones in and passed them around), how to harvest them, and how to prepare them, tincture vs. oil vs. tea. It was really amazing. Also, I saw many of the herbs on our hike today - pretty cool! I'm going to get some bitters for my digestive system. Her website is www.darcyfromtheforest.com.

Also - Ryan and I saw a black bear today on our hike! He was so cute - he was scurrying up the mountain. Very amazing to see a bear in real life!

I got your message yesterday - sorry I didn't respond right away - I've been busy with school in-service meetings since yesterday. And I will be until Friday - eek! Monday school starts! I'm both scared and excited. A little bit of both - you know - but, Ernest Hemingway said, "Courage is the suspension of the imagination." So, I'm going to attempt to suspend my imagination as much as possible and just not think about it - ha! Well, at least consciously. My unconscious mind probably has something else in mind... Eek - pun not intended, of course! :-)
