Tietääkseni Finnzyme on tehnyt geenitestejä von Willebrandin taudin varalle vasta hyvin vähän aikaa. VetGen sen sijaan on tarjonnut testiä jo pidemmän ajan. Tilastotietoja taudin yleisyydestä lähinnä amerikkalaisilla villakoirilla löytää seuraavalta sivulta (1% sairaita).

Omani olen testauttanut juuri Vetgenissä, koska silloin Suomessa ei ollut ko. testiä tarjolla. Suomalaisia koiria ei tietääkseni ole juurikaan testattu tämän taudin varalta.
