Peti on soikea. Pituus on suunnilleen koiran mittainen, eli koira mahtuu sinne juuri ja juuri. Mutta koska laidat ovat pehmeat se voi vapaasti valita asentonsa. Meista nayttaa silta etta seka koira etta kissa nukkuvat mieluiten suhteellisen pienessa tilassa. TUntuma laidoista antaa ehka turvallisuuden tunnetta. Pehmealaitainen koiranpeti on ollut loisto-ostos/ vanha rottinkikori ei enaa juuri kiinnosta koiruutta, vaikka se voi valita kummassa nukkuu.
