Varsinkin vanhat koirat, joiden nivelet eivät enää ole elmämänsä kunnossa, hyötyy vähemmästä vedosta huomattavasti. Ja se huovutettu viltti on täysin käytännöllisistä syistä: Vie koira jäähalliin talvella näyttelyyn ja kysy koiralta palelsiko boksissa..? Meidän hienohelma ainakin tärisee kuin horkassa!! Samoin huopa on erittäin helppo pestä, pelkkä huuhtominen riittää ja imukyky on uskomaton (jos koira on märkä esim. harkkojen päätyttyä)!!
