Joskus koirat kyllä haluavat oksentaa tietoisesti, jos niillä on huono olo, syömällä vaikka ruohoa ja sitten koira oksentaa keltaista vaahtoa. Tietysti jos heti syömisen jälkeen riehuu, niin kyllä siitä voi hyvinkin tulla oksennus ja siinä mielessä se on "normaalia", siispä ruoan jälkeen ei kannata antaa koiran leikkiä rajusti tai viedä sitä lenkille tms. pidä tunteroinen väliä, jolloin ruoka ehtii laskeutua.
