Subject: It had all been that he had been angry, hurt, and a little embarrassed by it all - he had never felt any diminishment in how much he loved her, no matter how little he actually wanted to see her. Now, he wanted to see her of course. "Things are gonna get so much better, I promise." They could only go up from where they'd been, now that they were settling into a regular regime - him with his work at his father's office and her with the production, maybe relationship things could resume normalcy as well.
