Tyrone McFarlin directs movie starring Buffie the Body in the upcoming motion picture entitled "TYRONE"

Tyrone McFarlin grew an interest in filmmaking while in college in 1996. His very first project was recorded with a damaged cheap camcorder taped up with duct tape. People hated to see Tyrone come around. They made fun and laughed at his crazy movie ideas until tears streamed from their eyes. Tyrone felt hurt and very discouraged. He decided to throw in the towel, until one day he gave it one last try and created..

At the age of 13 Tyrone McFarlin started his career as a musician in the church. He played the piano and studied jazz at his high school. Then he began playing for local groups. As his skills improved he became lead singer and musician for his own group. Tyrone McFarlin then was selected to play with and open for national gospel recording artists such as Kirk Franklin, Commission, Shirley Caesar, the Jackson Southerners, Mighty Clouds of Joy, the Williams Brothers, Donnie McClerkin, Dottie Peoples, Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Take 6, the Clark Sisters, and many others.

At the age of 18 Tyrone McFarlin opened a small recording studio producing albums for artist in his home town. As time passed he wanted to expand his musical talents. He developed a profound interest in film. His desire was to compose scores and produce sound tracks for blockbuster feature films.

Tyrone un expectantly grew an interest in filmmaking while attending the University of Wisconsin Parkside in 1996. His very first project was recorded with a damaged cheap camcorder. People hated to see Tyrone come around. They made fun and laughed at his crazy movie ideas until tears streamed from their eyes. Tyrone felt hurt and very discouraged. He decided to throw in the towel, until one day he gave it one last try. Tyrone created a funny movie about student life on campus. After passing the word around campus about a funny video, people of all nationalities on campus came to see a well constructed comical masterpiece on a small television in a resident dorm lounge. As jaws dropped, Tyrone McFarlin received loud applauds followed by a standing ovation for his skills. He discovered that he had talent after all. Since that day, Tyrone had a vision and a dream to go to Hollywood to learn more about filmmaking.

Tyrone McFarlin then stayed in Hollywood, California to attend the Hollywood Film Institute to further his knowledge of the film industry. There he learned the ins and outs of filmmaking. Tyrone feels honored to receive advice from some of Hollywood celebrities. After planning to start his business in the Hollywood area, Daphine Maxwell Reid (Vivian from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) advised Tyrone to start his business at his home town.

Upon graduating in 1997 Tyrone wrote, produced and directed his first film entitled A NEW LIFE. Tyrone McFarlin also worked with his friend actor Norman Golden II (credits: Cop N a Half w/Burt Reynolds, Moby Dick/USA series, The Boy Who painted Christ Black w/ Westley Snipes, There are no children here w/ Oprah Winfrey) and other major films.

Tyrone McFarlin makes his triumphant directorial debut and his second film role in this gripping "story of survival and triumph!" His latest feature film project entitled "TYRONE"

The movie stars Reynaldo Rey (B.E.T.'s "Comic View , "Friday," "House Party 3," " White Men Can't Jump," "A Rage in Harlem," and "Harlem Nights") Ken Ivy (a.k.a Pimpin Ken) (Featured albums such as Jermaine Dupri, Too Short, Pimp C, Juvenile, 50 Cent, Lil Jon, Lil Flip, Outcast, E40, Nelly, Loon, Lil Scrappy, Bone Crusher, Pastor Troy, Trillville, and many others) and superstar track olympic gold medallist Latasha Colander, Brandon Deshazor, Derrall Jackson, Roosevelt Martin, Alesyah Flores and Tyrone McFarlin.

In Mid January of 2005 one of the biggest casting calls in history kicked off in downtown Chicago for one of the episodes titled "The New Life". WGCI (the #1 clear channel radio station) was part of this huge exciting event. Mr. Elroy Smith (Operations Manager/Program Director of Chicago's #1 rated radio station, WGCI ) personally assisting Tyrone in this tremendous promotion resulted in over 2,500 actors, models, singers, and dancers present to audition.

The audition line extended from the main door to numerous blocks down the street and amazingly wrapped around the building several times. From higher ground, three news helicopters (NBC, 9, WGN) captured coverage of this extremely long line of hungry talent. It was also reported that news anchors and popular radio station Disc Jocks were auditioning to play roles in this most anticipated television series of 2006.

Tyrone McFarlin was interviewed live at the NBC studio leading to the casting call being promoted on the Doug Banks morning show with Doug Banks and De De McGuire.

In addition to filming his movies, Tyrone conducts workshops across the country searching for actors, models, and singers. At this workshop Tyrone has been teaching talent the "12 Biggest Audition Mistakes", and "The NEW secret of how to earn a living with a simple web site" which has created a massive opportunity for aspiring and professional talent to reach their ultimate goal and break into the industry faster than ever.
