I've created an intensive two part Shakespearean Workshop called DISCOVERING SHAKESPEARE'S BLUEPRINT where actors and students from Teens on up learn how to recognize the various clues to interpretation and character development which Shakespeare provides in his writing. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to look at a piece of Shakespearean text and quickly dissect and comprehend any irregularities which might be clues into the character's emotional life, thought processes, and possible blocking choices. In addition, you will learn performance techniques to "streamline your speaking" so that you speak with ease, as well as techniques to make the text come alive while speaking it.

What is wonderful about this workshop is that you can bring YOUR ACTING STYLE and PROCESS to this technique. Finding out 'WHY" your character does something is up to you and your journey of character development. What I am going to impart is the blueprint of 'signs and clues' which Shakespeare leaves for actors to let them know they should "stop and look at this in the text.....something is going on here for you in this scene" which will help you develop a character more deeply and guide you through the crossroads of emotional transitions of a character.
