There really aren't any "tips" on how to cough/cry on command. Both of these come with reacting naturally. "Keep it real". Before coming out on stage get an emotional boil. If you need to be sad and/or cry think of a situation that would make you sad and overexagerate. For example: If your mom died suddenly and you just found out the same day your boyfriend broke up with you. Before your entrance on stage think about this in depth. It helps a lot. With the coughing just be natural with it. What would make you cough?
For movie kissing I don't know. Stage kissing however you should try and do it REAL every single time. There is nothing better than "Keeping it real". You'll find out that keeping it real is VERY important in acting. If you don't want to really kiss than you can hold the person's face and put your thumbs on their lips, covering them and kiss the thumbs. Of course to make it look real stage blocking would have to be right but it usually looks good...but not as good as KEEPING IT REAL. Good luck with everything!
