Volume 2 is geared for 3rd-5th grade and Volume 3 will be the same. The math is the main thing that advances. Most of the other subjects can be done with a variety of ages. Depending on the ages of the kids, you can require more work of older kids and less work of the younger ones. I've used a complete scope and sequence to make sure that what needs to be taught in the older end of the spectrum is covered, so with younger ones, you may not need to do as much work.
