Jeannie,

Right now there are people using Volume 1 with 12 year olds. Volume 2 just came out this month, so no one is using it yet, and I'm not sure if anyone yet is going to be using it with older kids. Volume 2 is a little more advanced than Volume 1, so it would be my recomendation. You would need to add your own math, but I think science would be sufficient. Obviously, with the older ones you would go into more depth in your research, but it can easily springboard into all the science you need for that age. The science in Volume 2 is more advanced than Volume 1 in that it includes more hands on experiments. Language arts is adaptable for whatever age, but Volume 2 is a little more advanced. It goes a little more in depth into sentence structure and genre study.

I'm not sure how it would work to do the volumes together. Someone else has asked about that, but I can't remember if they went that direction. I think they just chose one to use.

Maybe someone who's using it with their older children could tell you better how it's working for them. Anyone want to share?

Happy Homeschooling!
Sharon
