Sharon,

Greeneville is about an hour from where I live in Morristown! There is pretty good antiquing to be done in Chattanooga, I hear.

As for museums/attractions, there is a small listing of Tenn. museums here - http://www.collectics.com/museums_tennessee.html and a listing of 117 museums here - http://www.museumstuff.com/museums/usa/tennessee/index2.html:

Some that are in my area include:
Johnson City is fairly close to Greeneville and there is the Hands-on Museum there - www.handsonmuseum.org

There is also Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport - http://www.baysmountain.com/ - this is a nature preserve with a planetarium.

If you head to Nashville, there is a replica of The Parthenon that you can visit; it is the city's art museum. The focus of the Parthenon's permanent collection is a group of 63 paintings by 19th and 20th century American artists donated by James M. Cowan. - http://www.nashville.gov/parthenon/index.htm - my parents live near Nashville, but we haven't visited this yet!

Hope this helps! Happy Antique-ing!

Kris
