Hi Sharon,

It has been a long time since I have checked out your site and it looks great!! I have been real busy with school and the holidays.

As far as the invention contest goes, we have received the information and have discussed it with the boys. We do plan to enter the contest, but it all depends on if they work hard and complete their projects. Both boys have ideas already. Isaiah's idea is quite large and he would have to make a model of it. Gabriel seems to be getting too much into the toy ideas and not enough into the tool ideas. So far we have been brainstorming and haven't started anything yet.

We are starting back with PP this week. Gabriel will be starting to teach Isaiah about the communication inventions. We did transportation first and they loved it! It is working out very well having Gabriel research the subject and teach it hands-on to Isaiah. I have been either assigning reading and/or reading biographies and technical information to them. We are continuing with all of our other curriculum. It has been a nice break for the kids to study inventions one or two afternoons a week. They also carry this over into their play time.

Well, that is about all of an update that I have to give you. I hope that you both have a lot of fun with the invention contest. I know that my boys are really excited about it. We'll just have to see how things turn out. It will be a good experience for them having another project with a deadline and specific requirements. They do participate in the 4-H fair exhibits and our homeschool support groups I.D.E.A. exhibit.

Hopefully I will be able to check in more often.

Blessings,
Liann
