I'll try to answer each question for you.

I would like to know,
>however, if the activities that are provided for
>language and math skills are created to build upon
>each other from the first volume through the 4th?

The math and language are not necessarily progressive, although Volume 2 language is more advanced than Volume 1. The style of the math and language will be a little different in Volume 3. The language in Volume 3 is more Charlotte Mason in approach, actually so is the math. I don't see why you couldn't go through in the order you said with the exception of Volume 4 is not so much world history as world geography. It will include history, but it is organized by geography rather than in historical order.

>>I noticed that Bible was listed as a subject covered

>ask...is this a christian based curriculum?

I have no idea why Bible is not listed in the Volume 2 scope and sequence. I guess it was just an oversight, as it is included. Obviously, Volume 3 is heavy in Bible as that is what it is based on. It will be available in the summer, if you plan to use it for the upcoming fall school year.

I must say, I'm really excited about Volume 3. I am so enjoying the research involved and I have learned a lot about the Bible as I've written it, and I hope that others find it equally useful. Now, it is not organized in chronological order, either, though. It is grouped together by similar stories. For instance, one unit is on Family Matters and it covers stories of family relations. Another is Bad Decisions. I've tried to go with a different approach to provide a fresh look at the Bible. I've tried to include lesser known stories that everyone may not be familiar with. I've tried to focus on the meaning behind the story. So, in answer to your question, yes, Patchwork Primers is a Christian curriculum.

Happy Homeschooling!
