Subject: Training Dream Author: James [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 10:08:49 05/27/02 Mon I lead Dream out of his stall groom him down and tack him up. I bring him out to the training oval, taking down the jumps I had for Than'g. I mount up on my colt, we trot around for a warm up and move into a slow gallop to build more stamina for the next race. Racing takes alot of stamina and heart. And I know Dream has alot of it. He soars around the track. I rate it. He went around the oval in 36 sec. at a slow gallop. I think, well lets try breezing him. He moves into his soaring gallop. I feel the wind in my hair, as we go by the 1 mile mark. I know Dream does not want to stop, but he relucting does it. I did rate it, 24 seconds in 1 mile with no one around him. I lead him back to the barn untack him and groom, him. I lead him to the paddocks. In the paddocks he romps around kicking dirt. I go back to the barn, clean up the tack and clean out his stall. I put new feed and water in both of my horses stalls, "Now, all I need is to find, a good mare for Dream," I laugh at my statement.
