Subject: BAVARIAN PORK CHOP ONE-DISH DINNER

4 boneless pork loin chops(about 1 lb./500 g)
Non-stick cooking spray
1/4 cup (50 ml) chopped onion
2 medium carrots,shredded
1 can (14 oz/398 ml) sauerkraut,drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon (5 ml)caraway seeds
1/3 cup (75 ml) apple juice or cider

Trim fat from pork chops.

Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray.

Heat over medium-high heat until hot.Add pork chops;cook for four
minutes.
Turn pork chops over.

Add onions;cook for four to six minutes or until pork chops are
browned.
Move pork chops to one side of the skillet.

Add carrots,sauerkraut,caraway seed and apple juice;stir to combine.
Place pork chops on top of the mixture.

Reduce heat to medium;cover and cook,stirring occasionally, for four
to
six minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink in the centre,and
the
sauerkraut mixture is heated through.
