Subject: Shortbread Rings

3/4 cup margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon almond flavoring
Frosting:
Butterscotch chips

Mix all cookie ingredients together.Roll dough to about 1/4- to
1/2-inch thickness on floured counter.Cut with floured rings. Place
on cookie sheet.Bake at 350 degrees for 10-20 minutes until set;
cool.

Melt butterscotch chips in microwave or over a low heat on the stove.
Dip cooled cookies into the butterscotch.Allow to cool and harden.
Decorate as desired.

Yield:2 dozen rings
