If you haven't already heard, according to the latest update from Superfly/AC Entertainment, they are going to have an on-site radio station at Bonnaroo this year! This was one of the things I hoped they'd feature last year and I am sooooo psyched they're actually going to do it!
Several years ago, Phish played a little concert up in Limestone called the "Great Went" and they had a radio station going too. It made the concert even better than it would have been otherwise, and it added a whole new dimension to the proceedings that is difficult to describe. But with a potential 15 hour traffic tie-up outside of the Bonnaroo venue, it will be a blast to be able to sit back and tune in to traffic info coming straight out of the Bonnaroo site, as well as interviews with the various artists and live performances, etc.

Phish used their radio station to play some classic old cuts from the vaults and it was mind-blowing to many of their phans. Bonnaroo looks like they have caught on to this idea and are going to really open this festival up in creative and interesting new ways. I, for one, can't wait! Oh yeah, and bring a boombox to record some of the music ya'll!

What do you guys think? Is the radio station a kick-ass idea, or what????!!!!
