Hey now!
We were 3rd in the gate last year and I have pictures of the police escort to prove it. If you want to get in early look for the "Willow" bus, they park the first ones in the gate in the very best spots, we were in the daisy lot last year which was one of the few places you had trees.
My advise is to go to the wal mart wed night and in the morning eat at hardeys and book out for the show.
we showed up wedsday night and camped at Whispering oaks campground (because we didn't know about the school camping and wal-mart 'til the next morning. we got up at 5:00 AM and went to hardeys for breakfast where we saw the school and wal mart, we went to walmart for ice and to load up on food and crap and drove to the gas station at the enterance road to the venue and parked. Later on everyone started lining up and then the interstate got bogged down, they opened the gate a little early because of the mess on the freeway and the police escorted all of us the 2 or 3 miles down the two lane back road (2 abreats) the the venue.
