THEY CANNOT AFFORD IT, politically, military and economically speaking. We depend on the USA for some things, but we give a lot back. What infuriates many ppl in the states is that despite two centuries of trying hard, the USA hasnt been able to take away our own identity,precisely our point. We have our own culture, ideas and idiosincracy. We respect that of other countries, but we wont allow anyone to rob us of what we are. PR could live out of tourism and agriculture alone, with no need for your country. Why isnt it happening? Cuz USA has made sure that my ppl remain ignorant of this fact: we are strong, we will survive ppl like u.
