The manager of a local pawnshop has refused the offer of Miss Universe 2001 (according to a few fanatics)to pawn her crown for obvious reasons. "It's a piece of junk---trash, that's it", replied the manager when interviewed. The crown has no intrinsic value whatsoever because it is made of chrome-plated aluminum wire and carved glass splinters from a beer bottle. The desperate girl left the village begging for a car ride back to the suburbs of London. It has been reported earlier that she was planning to utilize her only known skills and open up a manicure shop in Bayamon, a remote place in her home country. When contacted for comments, the official spokesperson of the Miss Universe Organization said, "That woman is History! As far as we are concerned, the year 2001 has been erased and deleted from our archives to protect the integrity of our organization".
Que horror! Ave Maria Purissima! Pray, tell me it ain't true. I have to speak to Saint Jude Thaddeus regarding that woman's case.
