The review opens with a comparison to the previous act, a band called "Circus Act" who play "dreary low-fi, 70's style".

"Kojima are a stark opposite, style-wise. They're loud, shouty, everything Circus Act aren't. In fact, the two bands ought to chage names - Kojima suits Circus Act more and Circus Act suits these guys more. Stephen Woodrow on vocals, who grips his mic with both hands, rather like J S Clayton of Pitchshifter or I suppose many other hardcore punk influenced frontmen, has a T-shirt proclaiming 'Fuck It' and is a mouthy Midlander, swearing wherever possible.
These guys delve into the afore-mentioned hardcore punk bucket and throw it at you with great gusto like massive dollops of mud.
'Proletariat Skateboard Bitch' and 'Detachable Prick Magnet' will raise your eyebrows if nothing else. Paul on bass is Redditch born although the guys are now based in Birmingham."
