.x. boy enters, sacks and woven baskets piled into a mond on a very unhappy, sulky looking horse. upon finding a suitible, dying tree, in which the trunk had been hollowed out, Briar quickly looks for unusual landmarks, memorizing the landscape. then he unloads everything from the horse, placing bundles inside the large tree. doesn't both to unpack them. a flicker of grey alerts him to his she-wolf's presence and he whispers in animal-talk, telling her to guard his things. soon as he had his tree house he'd move the things to there. meanwhile, he spells a deerskin, which he hands over the opening, to look like the tree, and he leaves, followed by the stallion. .x.
