The Elf nodded, "As you wish," whispering to Bark who stood nearby, a ripple left the tree's trunk in the direction of the Old Forest. Then, the Tree whispered loudly, "Tell them no then!" Adraine cried softly, afraid of being overheard, "I told them no, Ironhorn should know better."
"He insists." Bark replied in treeish. "He told me to tell every tree in the whole of Kavanagh to look out for these fellows, he said to tell every plant, bird, and land beast to do so."
Adraine sighed, looking at the birch tree harshly, "Don't, they'll be killed." To anyone listening, this conversation probably sounded quite strange.
"But Ironhorn-"
"I don't care what Ironhorn said, he is young, they'll all be killed, I can only regrow, not bring things back from the dead!" Adraine pierced the tree with her grey eyes before turning from it, not caring if the others did stare at her wierd. Sending a thought to Ravyn, she told the man all that Bark had told her. "And I don't know what to do." She ended the thought, "Part of me thinks this wise, the other part fears for the lives of all living things." The Elf sighed, leaning against the tree, " I will trust your judgement again on this one Ravyn, should I tell them no, or should I let that plan go on as planned." The thought ended softly, for a moment, exasperation, fear, and wonder showed in the elven woman's face, then it was gone, and her slender face was expressionless again.
