Leaving the kid unsheltered for the minute. The boy was lucky the panther hand't bitten his hand off.

"I understand I think. Sian protects me from people as well; sometimes it is hard for her to trust anyone."

It was hard for him to trust people too. But he didn't say that.

"Not that she has any reason to. Her parents were killed by poachers," he explained.

His parents were killed by poaches. His parents were her parents. His four parents. Two had been wolves, Siannodel's mother and father, and his blood parents had been murdered. He shifted, feeling uncomfertable when he touched on the subject.
