Why you frontin?
From the start, we'd play.
Personally, i thought it was a game.
Then when you acted like you wanted to take me out on a date,
But wasnt quite clear with it
I had to ask myself...
Why you frontin?
Still, in my mind i thought, 'he playin'
Even though i liked you, i couldnt contemplate or even imagine why you wuold want to go out with me...
The flirting stopped.
When I realized you weren't joking
I flipped the script, wanting to ask you out.
When I did, you replyied by sayin,
'I dont want to ruin our friendship'...
The only question that ran though my head was
Why you frontin?
It was over, or so I thought
now the mind games start.
Hugs, love taps, Kisses on my cheek and neck
Everybody askin when we gonna hook up because of the way we act
I'd scoff and say, 'it aint like that'.
They'd ask 'What happened?'
When i tell them the whole story the 1st three words are
Oh he frontin
As these actions increase,
Constant looks as if you want me.
Your always telling me about what you could do to me,
But to on YOUR level my apperance has to grow physically....
Negro, why you fronting?
Now, if you you had given me a chance,
Found out that there was more to me than what you see.
Found out that all that shit we were talkin was about nothin.
Maybe then you could answer my question of why you were frontin?
