Tina wakes up and look at the clock, it said 3:15 am. She looks at the other side of the bed and Mont is not there. She sees the red button flashing on the answer machine. She pushes it
Machine: I have one message
MV: Hey it's me Mont. I'm hanging out with the guys tonight I'll be home late. So see you in the morining. Love ya
Bleep
Machine: Recorded at 12:45 am
Tina rolls over and face the wall. She cuts on the radio and "Song Cry" by Jay Z was playing. She begined to cry, she cried herself back to sleep. The next day Tina wakes up and hears the water running in the bathroom. She walks to the kitchen and rambles in the fridge for some Orange Juice. Mont comes out of the bathroom, he walks to Tina and kisses her on the cheek
Mont: Good morining beautiful
Tina: Hey
Mont goes to the table, Tina wipes her cheek off
Tina: Have fun last night?
Mont: yeah
Tina: Where did you go?
Mont: Didn't you get my message?
Tina: Yeah, but where did ya'll go?
Mont: We just hung out, played pool mostly
Tina: Yeah right
Mont stands up and walks to the couch
Tina: Wait, I have one question
Mont turns around and faces Tina
Tina: Why are you lying to me? Why do you have to break my heart over and over again?
Tina wipes away a tear falling down her cheek
Mont: Here we go again
Tina: If you stop doing it, we wouldn't have to talk about it all the time
Mont: Doing what exactly?
Tina: Screwing around on me
Mont: WHAT? How did we get there
Tina: Reggie told me that he wasn't with you last night
Mont: WHAT? I can't believe
Tina: So where were you really?
Mont: Okay
Mont sighs and sits on the arm of the chair
Mont: I went over Becky's house. But its not what you think
Tina: So its Becky again? And you know what? You just told it on yourself, because I never talked to Reggie last night
Tina walks to the bedroom. Once she's in the bedroom she sits on the bed. Mont follows her
Tina: I'm tired of this. Are you ever gonna change? Why can't you learn how to love me and only me?
Mont: I don't know
Tina: You don't know! You think thats a resonable answer
Mont: But . . .
The phone rings. Mont picks it up
Mont: Hello
Cole: Hey, is Tina there?
Mont: Yeah, but can you call back in like thirty minutes?
Cole: Sure, bye
They hang up
Tina: Who was that?
Mont: Cole, you can call her back later
Tina: No, I'll talk to her now
Mont: We have to talk about this
Tina: No, I'm through talking about it, you have to do it now
Tina walks to the other side of the bed. And calls Cole back
Cole: Hello
Tina: Hey, wassup?
Cole: Oh, nothing much
Mont: Tina, can you talk to me?
Tina: Hold on Cole
Tina puts the phone against her chest
Tina: Can you leave me alone right now?
Mont: Okay, forget it then
Mont walks out of the room. Tina puts the phone back to her ear
Tina: So what are you going to do today?
Cole: I don't know
Mont hollers
Mont: FORGET IT
Mont throws a vase into the bedroom. And it smashes against the nightstand. He walks out
Cole: Oh my god what was that? Are you okay?
Tina: Yeah, I made a mistake and knocked over a vase
Cole: Oh, so do you want to meet for breakfast?
Tina: Sure meet you in 20
Cole: Okay, bye
Tina: bye
Tina hangs up and walks to the other side of the bed and cleans up the mess. She then takes her bath. And leaves to meet Cole. When she walks in the rest. She discovers Maurice is with Cole, her best guy friend
Tina: Hey
She waves at them
Cole/Maurice: Wassup?
Tina sits down
Cole: We already ordered
Tina: Okay, that's cool
Maurice: And how are you today?
Tina: Fine and you?
Maurice: Just great, how's Mont?
*Thinking to himself*
Maurice: You need to leave him
Tina: Fine, crazy as ever
Maurice: That's good
Cole: You sure everything's okay?
Tina: Yeah, why?
Cole: I was just asking
Maurice gets up from the chair
Maurice: I hear "girl talk" coming on. I'm gonna go to the bathroom
Maurice goes to the bathroom
Tina: Why did you ask that?
Cole: Because I know that last week things weren't going good between you and Mont
Tina: Still isn't
Cole: What do you mean?
Tina: He didn't come home til this morining. And he confess to me that he was over Becky house last night.
Cole: WHAT? That trick
Tina: I know that's what I thought
Cole: You need to leave him
Tina: I know but I can't get enough courage to do it. And plus I love him so much
Cole: Tina, baby you know I'm telling you this because I love you. I'm not saying it to hurt your feelings. But he doesn't really love you. If he did he wouldn't be doing this to you
Tina: He does love me
Cole: He doesn't
Cole sees Maurice coming back
Cole: Maurice is coming back
Tina: Don't tell him, because I'll never hear the end of it
Cole: Okay, whatever you what
Maurice sits down
Maurice: Were you talking about how fine I am?
Tina: Yes, don't you love his face
Talking to Cole. Tina touchs Maurice face. Maurice *Thinking to himself*
Maurice: That feels good
The waitress brings them their food. They eat and leave
Maurice: Bye babies! I'm gonna call you tonight
Talking to Tina
Tina: Okay
Maurice kisses Cole and Tina on the cheek
Tina goes to work and gets home about 9:35 pm. She changes into her night clothes and gets into the bed and cuts the radio on. She lies in the bed looking at the wall. She hear the front door open. Mont tip toes back to the bedroom. Mont slips in the bed behind Tina. He puts his arm around her waist.
Mont: I am so sorry
Tina: That's what you say
Mont: I am, you don't know how much I love you
Tina: You don't act like it
Mont: I realize that, and I'm gonna start acting like it
Tina: You promise?
Mont: I promise
Mont turns Tina over and kisses her. They begined to fool around. And "Foolish" by Ashanti came on. And Tina knew she was foolish to stay with him. But it felt good to be in his arms at that moment and feel like he loved her.
