Principal: Now I hope you all have been working on your senior projects. On May 30, we will present 1/3 of the projects after school, then on May 31, the second 1/3 of the class will present their projects after school. Then on June 1st we will have the last bunch. Exams start on June 3rd June 7th. I hope all of you are prepared.
Everyone groans
Principal: You all are dismissed. You have 15 minutes until 4th period.
Tiana: Have yall started on your projects?
Olamide: Naw, have u?
Talib: Nope.
Christee: I don’t think anyone has.
All: lol
Ryan: So wha’ we gonna do?
Kara: Well I ono. Maybe Ima do a fashion show. I’ve alwayz liked designin’ clothes.
Tiana: Yeah dat’ would be tight.
Ryan: I’ve choreographed this dance to “Grindin’” Wit’s some of mah friends and mah dance school. It’s off da’ heezy! Ima do dat’.
Omari: Ay, as long as they ain’t no grindin’ wit’ sum punk it’s cool.
Ryan: lol, yeah whateva’ Omari.
Olamide: Well dat’s good for yall. Maybe I should sing. Maybe wit’ somebody, like a duet.
Olamide looked at me. I looked at him like he was crazy, I hadn’t sung for ages. And how did he know dat’ I could sing?
Tiana:Huh? Why you lookin’ at me like dat’?
Olamide: U wanna do da’ duet wit’ me?
Tiana: Does it look like I can sing?
Olamide: I know you can sing.
Tiana: No you don’!
Olamide: Yes I do.
Tiana: How you know?
Olamide: When you slept ova’ mah house you was singin’ in da’ shower. Gurl you can sing!
Talib: Whole up rewind!
Kris: you slept ova his house???
Tiana: Huh? I ono wha’ yall talkin’ ‘bout..
Omari: Uh-huh. Yall sum freaks.
Kris: (Lookin’ sick) Ay yall I’ll be back. (she ran to da’ bathroom)
Christee: She’s been like dat’ all day.
Ryan: I hope she don’t have da’ flu. Dat’ would suck.
Talib: yeah fo’real.
Omari: So let’s go back to da’ part where Tiana slept ova’ Lamz house. What yall do?
Olamide: (smilin’) nuthin…..yet.
Everyone: oooooooooo
Tiana: (laughin’) Lami shuddup! (play hits him)
Olamide: (laughin’) Yeah so r u gonna sing wit’ me or not?
Tiana: I ono. I don’t think mah heart will be in it.
Olamide: Aight then. I’ll give you some time to think about it. But don’t take to long cuz we need to work on it so it’s perfect.
Tiana: (smilin’) Aight.
Kara: Awww, yall make me miss my boo.
Ryan: (laughin’) How’s Jiz been doin’ lately?
Christee:And how he get da’ money to visit you every weekend?
Kara: He’s cool. But da’ money. He’s just loaded wit’ it.
Tiana: I wish my boyfriend was loaded wit’ cheese.
Olamide: Wha’ chu say?
Tiana: Nuthin’. (laughin’)
Olamide: Aight, I got chu gurl.
Christee: I know wha’ ima do fo’ da talent show.
Tiana: Wha’?
Christee: It’s a surprise! Yall will see. It’s sumthin’ I’ve been workin’ on fo’ a while.
Ryan: Aight gurl, can’t wait ta see it!
Tiana: So wha’ u two knuckles heads gonna do?
Omari: I ono, maybe join yo lil dance thing Ryan, ta make show’ da’ all nigg* u gridin’ on is me.
Ryan: (laughin’) Dat’s if you can keep up!
(Kris comes back)
Kris: hey yall, wha’ did I miss?
Talib: I ono wha’ ima do.
Kris: Baby, jus keep thinkin’ ‘bout it, u’ll think of sumthin’.
Talib: Wha’ chu gonna do?
Kris: Ima get some of da’ otha’ cheerleadin’ peoples and we probably will do da’ our last and our best cheer togetha’. Tiana u gonna be in it righ?
Tiana: yeah gurl of course.
Kris: Aight coo’.
Ryan: So da’ only one who doesn’t know what they gonna do is Talib.
Tiana: And me.
Olamide: U gonna sing wit’ me?
Tiana: You said I could think about it.
Olamide: And you haven’t finished thinkin’ about it yet?
Tiana: (laughin’) Lami, I ono.
Olamide: Please! PAH-LEEEEEZEEE!
Tiana: Aight aight. Stop it. I’ll do it.
Olamide: Good.
Talib: I still don’t know wha’ Ima do.
