Ok now your probably all wondering what's going on but let start from the beginning, the very beginning. Ok before I get into the story let me introduce myself I'm Aasia-Kadijah Cerinna Thompson. Yeah you guessed it, Aasia-Kadijah is my whole FIRST name. My mom musta been drugged up when she named bu it's cool. Everybody just calls me Aasia. I live in San Antonio, TX. I've been here practically all my life. You see my moms is in the miliatary so they keep stationing her here. I mean I been to other places, but for some reason I keep finding myself stuck back in this hell hole. Don't get me wrong there is a lot of stuff to do here, but if you been livin here long as I have you probably done done everything at least 6 times which after awhile loses the whole excitement. I have one older brother named Daron. He lives in New York along with the rest of my family on my moms side. I love visiting him. All I have to say is ni99as, ni99as, and more ni99as. But anyway that's enough background info so let's start. It all started really right before my 17th birthday, June 8. I was so excited to finally turning be 17. I mean to some people 17 doesn't seem like much but shoot when you been 16 for a whole year it's about time for a change. Rated R movies here I come. I knew my moms would let me do more stuff then I did before, I got the car I've been wishin for since practically forever, and I was about to have the best party of the year. Nothing could go wrong until. Mom: Well honey you remember how I've tryin to avoid going overseas to Korea Me (thinking): Oh lawd here it comes Mom: Well they just gave me orders to go until the end of July Me: So that means you'll only gone for 2 months Mom: No honey more like 2 months and 1 year. I won't be back till next August of 2003 I couldn't believe it my mom was makin me go all the to Korea for my senior year. Ugh I was so mad. Words couldn't even describe. Me: So what am I suppose to do? I can't leave right before my senior year. Mom: Well honey I'm sorry but there is no one here for you to stay with. I opened my mouth to say somethin Mom: And no you are not stayin with Shameecka. Ya'll two get enough trouble. Me: Ugh mom you can't make me go. Look I can stay wit Daron and.. Mom: Oh know I am not lettin you live wit your brother. he has enough responsibility with out you crawlin up his back. Me: Mom you didn't even ask. He even said I could come live with him as long as you said it was ok. Please mom. Mom: When did you ask him this? Me: Ok maybe I didn't ask, but I'm sure if I did that's what he would say. Mom: No and that’s final. You are comin with me. Flash Forward 3 weeks later “Flight number 567 to New York City is now boarding” Mom: Now you be good up there. I don’t want your brother callin me tellin me how you actin like you ain’t got no home trainin Me: I promise I won’t mama. Thank you so much for lettin me come. Mom: Yeah, yeah. You know I’m gonna miss you. Me: I’m gonna miss you to mama. Mom: I’ll try to call as often as I can. Make sure you get a phone card just in case you ever need to call me. I’ll be up there right before Thanksgiving. If your actin up I’ll bring you back wit me. Ma: I promise mama I won’t. Mom (hugs Aasia): Ok I love you. Happy early birthday. Me: I love you too. In Philly( I don’t know how people in Philly talk so it’s not really New York talk) Daron (on the phone): Yo dawg check it. I need to go pick up my lil sis at the airport in about 5 hours. So tell everybody to some through right quick cuz I need to talk to ya’ll…….Aight well as long as you here by 4:00 that’s tight…….Make sure Tohri comes I wanna talk to him especially………Aight playa then holla back,one Tell me what you think.
