The Wilderness
Tropical jungles, barren fields, lush meadows, forsaken beaches; these are the wilds of the Southern Continent, where only the feral dragons reside. None except the bravest and most foolhardy dare to venture here, where some dragons have turned hostile after years of isolation and neglect. Watch your step...this is a dangerous place indeed.

[Rider-mine what are you doing, again?]
I am warming up, dear heart. Remember how I said I used to be apprenticed as a runner? Well, I still enjoy running, even if it is no longer the career for me. You don't have to come.
A soft snort of derision exhaled from dragon at the last sentance. Feminae suddenly takes off at an easy jog throughout the dangerous woods, looking back ocassionally to make sure the Queen was keeping up...

Mykelleh sat down on a rock, exhausted. It had been a long journey from her parents' settlement by the far coast. She was sick of eating wild rodents and raw fruits, sick of sleeping on the ground every night. She had packed light when she ran away... she hadnt thought. She hadn't planned. She had just acted, and as usual, it looked like it had gotten her into trouble. How was she supposed to find the weyr? It had been so foolish of her to just run away without even bringing what she needed or knowing the way to go. All she had with her was her knife, the deerskin vest and skirt she was wearing, her bow and quiver and a water sack, not even full. True, the southern continent was hospitable, with a moderate climate and plenty to eat, but as much she tried to keep her spirits up, she knew she had better find the weyr soon or else she'd have to give in and return shamefaced to her parents... something she would do anything to avoid. Please let me find the weyr soon! she thought.

~Kaia wanders out of boredem. She had missed the Hatching, but there would be others. She continues her strolling until she comes across a relitivly flat rock. Taking a seat, she sighs. It was a nice day. She looks about with with her gentle gaze and smiles to herself.~

)-Male steps out onto unfamilar terra, breathing deeply at the fresh sea air. A stumble in the brush draws attention to small Brown dragonet, following, attempting to be silent. Rushes over, lifting hatchling to it's feet, letting him lean on self.
[What are you doing out here, Reith?]
[You are rider-mine, I must be with you... You are sad, what is wrong?]
Sighs, shaking pate, though knowing that hatchling would see through motion.

[Reith, several years ago Skip.. Sk'p and I lost a very good friend in an accident. We took it very hard. I don't believe that either of us has fully recovered, Sk'p is just putting up a front, a barrier to his emotions if you will]

The trader girl was not afraid, why should she be? This was where her caravan had been for ages, tracks left from the wheels of the wagon she had once ridden were sunck in the muck of the ground in parts. The now canidate dragged a bare foot across a track, smuging the once smooth edges. Zel looked around the meadow she was in and walked towrds the area when the lush green grass turned to sand, the smell of salt water almost acid in her nose. It seemed odd that never again would she ride these ancient trails, the trails that had let her father, well step father, regain his honor. She played slightly with the end of one runner tail as she sat down in the sand.
