Ok,

es gibt ein Kernelmodul seit Kernel 2.4.18, das die Trident-Chips anspricht. Damit kann man (theoretisch) die Tatsache umgehen, daß die Grafikkarte nicht Vesa2-kompatibel ist.
Das Modul ist jedoch noch im Entwicklungsstadium, bei mir hats noch nicht gescheit funktioniert, hatte vertikale Streifen.
Schade, nun muß die PDA-Software noch warten ...
