Within ThinkPad Configuration, choose LCD and set screen expansion to "enable". This settings should remain valid, even if you boot into DOS, but characters look a bit strange, when VGA (640x400) is expanded to 800x600, maybe they look better in XGA. Be sure to have Thinkpad Configuration for DOS installed (you should be able to choose that when running uttpfw95, otherwise install uttpfdos)
