A neighbor has an IMB Thinkpad and I tried to install some freeware from it's floppy (Win 95). It refused to allow me to copy or run the file from the floppy. I thought this odd because it worked fine on my Compaq (Win 98). I tried a different floppy - same results. If I copy a file from the Thinkpad to the floppy, there's no problem. And if I try to copy a file from a floppy that isn't an executable, there's no problem. One of the errors I get has to do with restrictions on the floppy drive - I can find no settings anywhere that restrict access to that drive - there are no logons or system admin. settings that I can find that are precluding access to .exe files on the floppy. Anybody got any ideas?????
