That is what the GM Hitch looks like on the stock truck.

It appears to just slide in where the bumper mounts on the inside of the frame mounts.

It appears from their instructions that it mounts to the outside of the frame.

This might not work like I thought cause the receiver is on top of the bar, not at bar height like I thought it would be. This might make it too tall but IMHO, I would look at this option for a cleaner look
