It sure did take longer than I expected, but I really think my engine is broken in now. Its felt a bit peppier lately, but I figured it was due to me not running the ac as much...At 2,600 miles, this truck is most definitely quicker than my '00 Sonoma. Strange, considering the tires are larger than the old truck, and given the extra weight of the crew cab vs. xtended cab. Same axle ratio, too. Off the line, it doesn't take much to spin the rubber, and I much prefer the howl these tires give off instead of the squeal from the old ones, plus, I have experienced no wheel hop! The old truck jumped around so much I thought I'd snap the frame it two a few times. Are these trucks generally better in controlling hop?

I'm taking it in on the 12th to get a new hood hinge, belt tensioner & driver's side door handle (gaskets falling out).

I was going to have them check into my trans. whistle @ 2500rpm (only happens while driving, only audible just before shifts into 2nd & 3rd), but I wanted to find out if anyone else had this first. I'd rather not mess with it if its no big deal, but its pretty loud.
