Date Posted: 06:43:14 07/19/02 Fri In reply to: David 's message, "Cold Air Induction" on 05:21:28 07/19/02 Fri I can't speak for the other guys that have the K&N setup, but it seemed pricey to me. Local prices are around $250. Didn't want to spend that kind of money with no guarantees of any real horsepower. So I looked around and thought the AirRaid kit seemed like a good deal at $145. My concern with these kits was that I spend a lot of time in the mud and water. When we looked at the AirRaid kit, I noticed that the cone points downward and has no baffle with it. There is a note in the kit that states "water ingestion into the cone is the owner's responsibility". Basically, if you see any water or mud, stay away from the AirRaid kit. I didn't buy it and luckily, I got a stock replacement K&N filter for free from a friend. I didn't see any benefits, but then again I didn't have to spend any money either.
