Cause if you are, they are alot of work. They get tainted like water spots that won't come off. I've gotta get the buff wheel out and buff them about once a month. In between they look great, but they are more maintanence than I wanted. If they are the smooth gun metal gray look, they should be very easy to keep clean even with break dust. I put disc brake sheilds on my car, and they helped alot. Not sure if you do any mudding, but I'm not sure how they'd work with mud.
