Giancarlo, non volere tutto e subito! 80.000 posti sono tanti da riempire dappertutto, anche per il calcio in Italia: quante sono, all'anno, le partite che fanno il tutto esaurito in stadi di quella capienza?
Io ricordo un paio di partite recenti all'Olimpico (Italia-Sudafrica nel '95, con gli SBs appena insigniti del titolo, anche loro) e un Italia-Galles poco dopo. Se non sbaglio, col SAF c'è ancora il record di affluenza del rugby sul territorio nazionale (circa 45.000 spettatori).
Concordo con Paolo: la visuale fa veramente schifo, peggio che con il calcio (ma la mia ultima partita di calcio all'Olimpico risale al '93, ITA-SCO, qualificazioni del Mondiale americano!).
Se veramente la FIR voleva fare cassa, monetizzando tutte le richieste inglesi, forse era meglio ripiegare su Genova o Milano, tanto in questo caso l'interesse era vedere all'opera i campioni del mondo alla prima uscita. E ci sarebbe stata una muraglia umana direttamente sul campo.
