Quello che mi sconvolge in tutto questo è che l'addetto stampa della FIR continua a farlo Giacomo Mazzocchi (benchè a suo tempo silurato dal CF): credo che l'autore delle (approssimative?) traduzioni sia quindi proprio lui. La federazione trada a trovare un sostituto.
Sulla Nazionale, in linea di massima, faccio due considerazioni: 1) queste tournée sono spesso una specie di crocifissione per i nostri ed è meglio che accettiamo quello che passa il convento; dubito che si possano vedere in questo periodo, con il ritiro bimensile della RWC alle porte, prestazioni brillanti e convincenti; 2) avrò un'idea superficiale del rugby NZL, ma credo che qualsiasi formazione appena appena organizzata, rodata e motivata di quel Paese potrebbe mettere alla frusta qualsiasi altra rappresentativa nazionale (dall'Italia in giù) che si affacciasse sprovveduta da quelle parti.
E non mi sembra che sia la prima volta che il NH paga dazio nelle tournée estive dall'altra parte del mondo: a cominciare dalla famosa Tonga-Francia (e AUS-ENG 76-0 ?!?) e dalle sofferenze passate anche da SCO e IRL nelle passate stagioni durante le loro avventure agli Antipodi con formazioni provinciali.
