Subject: A Walk in the Woods, Part 2

Hours pass by without any anything suspicious or out of the ordinary. Archer and Eliza patrolled and searched extensively the woods around the base camp. But nothing was discovered. The only weird thing was that Eliza or Archer were not talking. Which is very weird considering that Eliza is very talkative.

The reason behind the awkward silence, was because Archer was getting furious that they did not find anything. Eliza could tell when he is angry. Archer stopped threw his quiver and bag on the floor and plopped himself down on the soft forest dirt. Eliza did the same thing, resting her tired feet upon a moss-covered rock. Eliza finally broke the silence�

"Arch," asked Eliza.

This was answered with a couple of grunts and a sigh.

"Yeah? What is it?"

"Don't worry so much, were bound to find something out here. I mean whatever it was I didn't sound as if it was far off. Well stumble on to something. I know it."

Archer sat up from the ground with his arms folded, "Oh yeah what makes you say that?"

Eliza got up from her rock and sat down next to Archer and said, "Cus you're the best tracker in the entire world. That's why!" Eliza rested her head upon Archer's shoulder and closed her eyes.

Archer smiled. She was right he thought. I mean were bound to stumble on to something. But not by circling the same circle around the base, we have got to out a little further.

"Eliza ive been thinking�" Eliza was on the verge of falling asleep, so Archer's words were answered with a very sleepy sounding, "hmmm?"

"We gotta walk a little further out, I mean I think we have a better shot of finding something if we walk out a little further than our jurisdiction."

This immediately woke up Eliza. Her eyes opened wide with shock.

"Archie, we cant do that, I mean we cant just go to other tribes property without permission or�.."

"I don't need permission, I gotta find that thing no matter, what, besides.." Archer got up fastened his quiver over his shoulder, grabbed his bag, and helped Eliza back to her feet.
"They will thank me when I kill that thing and save all their hides."

"They you go again thinking your all that." Answered Eliza.

"Oh I am alls that, plus a bag a chips. Now lets go." Archer started walking off into the brush.

"Your so corny. But that's why I love you." Said Eliza. But that last part was mumbled under her breath.

"What was that?" asked Archer.

"Oh nothing now lets go and kill us a monster!"

The two walked further and further into the forest. This has been the farthest they have ever been. Even though it was middle of the day, the forest they were in was very dark. Eliza stumbled a good number of times on tree roots that were covered by the darkness of the forest. Archer would help her up but was thanked for his kindness by a quick fist to his arm. Maybe the fact that Archer was laughing his ass off while helping her up didn't help thins. More hours pass bye, and still no sign until�

"I'm tired Archie, could we stop and go back. My feet are killing me.." Eliza's words fell on def ears. Archer Stopped dead in his tracks. But Eliza did not see this and keep on talking to him.

"I mean look at my feet there all bruised up, plus my ankles hurt I think I�."

"Eliza, shut the fuck up�" whispered Archer. Eliza was shocked, Archer was never mean like that to her, plus he barely ever curses. Knowing this she stood up and immediately grabbed hold of Archers arm.

"Something is there�I can feel it�" There conversation was now barely above a mouse's squeak. Archer slowly grabbed hold of his bow and slowly pulled an arrow out of his quiver.

"Archie, lets get out of here!!!"

"No, I believe we've found what were looking for!"

"No Archie no, don't�"

"Shut up." Archer slowly walked forward, while holding his arrow still locked and loaded in place. But then suddenly, he saw it. Well at least some of it. Out of the bushes that Archer was walking toward, the only thing visible was this huge red eye. Archer stopped dead in his tracks. He stood there staring at it as the eye did the same thing. This huge red eye was the size of a big red softball. Archer then thought, if the eye is this big, I do not wanna even think how big this thing really is.

"What's wrong?" whispered Eliza

Archer dropped the arrow, and placed his bow back on his back strap. He then immediately turned around and ran to Eliza, Scooped her up over his shoulder with one smooth motion. And Just kept running and running. Eliza was freaking out�

"HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING PUT ME DOWN?!?!?!? WHY ARE YOU�"

Eliza then saw it, the thing that Archer was running away from. She couldn't see it clearly all she could make out in the darkness were its two huge tusks coming toward them.

"DON'T PUT ME DON'T PUT ME DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN RUN RUN FOR OUR LIVES!!!"

"WHAT THE HELL DO YA THINK IM DOING!?!?!?"

Archer then saw a clearing up a ahead; He figured if he can only make it over them bushes they would be safe. At the last second, Archer while still carrying Eliza jumped over the bushes. He was Safe now, or so he thought. After jumping over those bushes, Archer and Eliza were met face to face with a 20-foot cliff side. So in one continuous swoop over the bushes they kept on tumbling down the Cliffside. Archer held on to Eliza as long as he could but a sudden hit from a tree branch released his hold on her. They both kept on tumbling and tumbling until finally it stopped. Archer lay there, half conscious and very still. He saw in the corner of his eye, Eliza on the ground motionless. He wanted to get up and check on her but he couldn't. He just couldn't, Archer then saw some figures walking toward them and then it all fades to black.
