Subject: Icon and Legato technique

First, for those who have Icon, are there any hard-hitting, rocking yet jazzy peices on the disc, or is it mostly like the things on Good People in Times of Evil? Also, since I am not a musician, can anybody explain to me what legato is? I hear about this technique and have probably heard it done a lot without knowing aht it is. Also, can you refer me to some songs on Perosnae and Time is the enemy that showcase legato? For a while now I have wanted to expand my listening experince by better understanding musical concepts and theory at least a little more. Thanks in advance. Incidentally, it's amazinfg to me how I am fast becoming rather ruined for regular R&B and Pop Music listening.
