I hate to say it but it really depends on what guitars and
amps you're using.

If you're using a Mesa Rectifier or similar amp to get the
heavy scooped death thing going, it's going to require a
completely different EQ curve for the warm solo voice Shawn
typically uses.

For my own work I'm using a Mesa Boogie studio preamp which
has 5 12AX7 tubes inside it and it can produce a lovely warm
singing solo sound.

You might also go out and try out some new amps - your
tastes may have changed and you need to find the amp for
you.

I do know that some of what Shawn does is courtesy of
extremely talented hands so anything you buy will sound
like YOU regardless of the gear.
