Subject: chris Brooks and Guitar Mags

Any of you guys evere heard of Chris Brooks? If so, what do you think of him and his musicianship?

On another note, the other night at a Tower record store I thought I'd thumb through a Guitar mag(I think it was Guitar World or Guitar Player) and looked at their 2003 best Guitarist awards, noticing that Audioslave's Tom Morello won top honors. I've heard the Audioslave cd, which I like, and Tom is interesting and good but not necessarily a highly virtuosic player, seeming to rely more on effects than on actual playing ability - to me, at least. what do you guys think. Also, can anyone tell me which Guitar mags, if any, feature really virtuosic players instead of the merely polpular and often mediocre guitarists of the day?
