The technique is shown in the videos and the GP mag from 92
with "distortion" on the cover.I have seen the videos for
sale on the net and music stores should be able to get them
and the book for you. The technique involves playing a triad
with a combination of sweep picking the first two notes and
playing the third note with your middle finger, also you can
pull off from a note above the third degree of the triad
with a pickstroke and then play the last note as usual.
Ritchie Blackmores comment shoud not worry you at all just
give it a go, try starting with a major or minor triad and take it across the neck from low to high in one hand posistion ,you will soon get an idea of the technique.
